Waddy Mega Slam
Part of a series of charity events in 2011 hosted by Waddington Street Centre
celebrating thirty years of sterling mental health resource provision in County Durham

Thirty poets will battle it out in a high energy performance contest
at Waddington Street Centre for a £50 cash prize, trophy and
title of Waddy Mega Slam Poetry Champion 2011.

See a dazzling array of rhymers, ranters and radical monologists
competing in a series of three minute bursts to impress
a panel of esteemed judges and voters from the audience.

Possibly the largest Poetry Slam ever staged in
the North East – there’ll be poets from Durham and Newcastle,
poets from Middlesbrough and Northumberland,
poets from York and Glasgow!

Not to be missed.
