Next Monday we welcome back alt folksters Blacke Moss to The Polite Room. With a mix of guitar, mandolin, banjo and boy/girl vocals, the three piece will be playing new material from their forthcoming EP. Expect sea shanties and ghost stories aplenty. Joining Blacke Moss on the bill will be soloist Rachel Lancaster of the band Chippewa Falls playing delicately electrified love songs plus the brilliant finger picking guitarist Christopher Knowles, who will be travelling up from London to play his Nick Drake influenced songs.

We’ve had a string of fantastic poets through the doors since opening in Sept 2009 and we’re now welcoming submissions from more talented individuals.
