We have some of the best of the North East poetry slammers signed up for our Lyrical Slam, fourteen have signed up so far and in the next few days we expect a rush for the converted last two places. Sixteen poets will go head to head, abusing song lyrics to amuse and entertain you. You the audience will decide… Your votes count, it like the X Factor only better. The Last Lyrical slam was a fantastic night with an incredibly high level of performance.
Names in the hat already are Degna Stone who wowed us all with her performance at the last Ten by Ten, Captain Chris Moir, the master at mangling song lyrics and songstress Kyla Clay Fox leaves her guitar behind for some unplugged words. The two giants of slam James Oates and Steve Urwin will be hoping not to clash too early in the night.
Alfie Crow and Ian Williams have some hot lyrics ready to fight for the title of slam winner whilst Chris Ramsey has promised not to drag up this time (thanks Chris: Ed) Jay Arnott will be making sure he gets his hands on the fantastic top money prize and Viv Wiggins and Robbie Hurst from the Word Tank will be trying to disappoint him. Some of the smart anti-post betting at Ladbrokes has seen Michael Hunter and Stephen Baines odds shortening, those South Korean guys know their slammers.
Don’t be late we start at eight…
