The Cumberland Arms will not be available from April, so this may be the last Ten by Ten for a little while as the on March 19th there will be a Slam night. Apologies to all those who asked to perform but we could not fit in, we will be keeping your names for when Ten by Ten returns.

There has been a little confusion about the date of the Feb event It is Thursday 19th February, Ignore all other dates.

We have poetry from Elizabeth Shutler and the return of the idiosyncratic poetry of Jag. Safely returned from his stint in a refugee camp in the Lebanon we welcome for the first time to Ten by Ten the legend that is Peter Mortimer.

Richard W Hardwick will be supported by Rick Fury, rapper and singer with a local band called Dialect. We are delighted to bring you more of Yvonne Young. We have music from Paul Kingswell.

Gerald Rudolf who wowed the audience with his evocative prose from his native South Africa is returning along with more from the multitalented Mike Edwards. We have the Word Tank Collective and for the first time on a Ten by Ten stage we have Barbara Harrison.

Ten performers each have ten minutes to give you there all…Spoken word at its best with the cream of the North East performance poetry scene. We have new performers and hardened veterans with words to delight, inspire and maybe even enrage you all.
