Ten by Ten is having a short summer break before returning in the autumn but before we go on our summer holidays we have one more night of the best in spoken word and poetry.
We welcome back the excellent Mike Edwards. Mike performances are always brilliant and often deliver something really surprising, prepare to be amazed. Steve Urwin writer, poet, publisher and organiser of the Waddy Slam is making a welcome return
Valerie Laws will be reading from her new book “The Rotting Spot”. P A Morbid promises to show us his light hearted side.
Jag is back, so God knows what mayhem he will be unleashing and with Ira Lightman making an appearance this month’s Ten by Ten promises to push the boundaries of Spoken Word.
Sheila Wakefield is well known as the editor of Red Squirrel Press and we have persuaded her to give a rare public airing to her own poetry. David Morgan gave the recent BBC Slam an injection of full blooded high octane performance poetry; this is a chance to hear more.
This month we also feature poetry from Courage Idiagbonya. Courage is a passionate poet, one of the few poets that reads his works from memory. We have prose from Patrick Belshaw. Patrick is a writer who lives in Richmond and he will be reading a short story, ‘A Darker Shade of Night’.
Don’t be late we start at eight…
