Ten by Ten got off to a cracking start in January. We had a full house from eight and a fantastic array of talent on stage and February look like being just as good.
We have the amazing singer songwriter Becky Owen who is putting away her piano and letting us see her poetic side.
Novelist and playwright Kitty Fitzgerald will be reading her story, The Bones of St.Ignatious which won the 2009 Latitude Festival Short Story Competition and Peter Mortimer will be tackling the idiosyncratic voices of the five oddball characters.
We welcome home James McKay who left Tyneside for the bright lights of London to seek fame and fortune as a poet and writer.
Slam star and ranter extraordinaire Steve Urwin is coming along as is the wonderful Sheree Mack reading extracts from her second collection on the Black Power Revolution in Trinidad in 1970.
We have new words from Louise Hislop and Thomas Williams. Another singer songwriter Ben Holland will be stepping out from behind his guitar shaped comfort blanket to read poetry about both his ancestry and the number 62 bus.
Julie Egdell is a poet and short story writer from Whitley Bay with a passion for travelling. The poet and singer songwriter Nev Clay will be serving up a slice of his highly original poetry.
Don’t be late we start at eight…
