Radikal Words with the support of Apples and Snakes brings you another fabulous night of the best of the UK’s spoken word and music scene.

Zena Edwards is a poet and performer who uses song, movement and global influences as a jump-off for her words. She defines the fusion of poetry and music to create her own sound tracks for her poems and stories. She has performed at festivals worldwide and has shared the stage and anthologies with some of her most admired predecessors, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Sonia Sanchez, Lemn Sissay, Jean Binta Breeze and Roger McGough.
We welcome back David Johnston a slam winning poet from Bristol .

David Johnson is a witty and quirky performance poet, who mixes his stand-up humour with his own verse. His inspiration comes from the bizarre world that we live in combined with a wry commentary on change and progress.

Plus we have support from the best of the North East’s performance poets Bob Beagrie, Mike Edwards.
