Calling all slammers and slam audiences!

Still time to enter the slam on this Wednesday 28th April.

It’s on at 8.30 pm at the Queens Hall Cafe in Hexham as part of the Hexham Book Festival.

There’ll be a cash prize.

Poets take on poets in word to word combat. Fancy your chances? You’ll need at least three poems under three minutes long. Email the festival in advance (info@hexhambookfest.co.uk) , some places may be available on the night. Compered by Radio 4’s Saturday Live Poet in Residence, the comic poet Kate Fox.

The slam will also feature a special preview of Monkfish Productions darkly comic and ground breaking show The Dead That Never Lived. www.monkfishproductions.org
