Maureen Almond – Has a strong interest in classical literature and is currently a research student at the University of Newcastle. Publications include: Tailor Tacks (Mudfog, 1999), Oyster Baby (Biscuit, 2002), The Works, (Biscuit, 2004), Tongues in Trees, (New Writing North, 2005), Chasing the Ivy (Biscuit, 2009), Recollections, (Flambard, 2008)
Andy Croft – Lives in Middlesbrough, where he has been active in community-writing projects for many years. His books include Red Letter Days, Out of the Old Earth, A Weapon in the Struggle, Selected Poems of Randall Swinger and Comrade Heart. He has written four novels and over forty non-fiction books about sport for teenagers. He also runs Smokestack Books.
Jo Heather – Was born in South Africa where her parents met and married during the war. Publications include Gold (Mudfog Press,2001) and also work included in the following anthologies, Smelter (Mudfog Press, 2003) and Ink on Paper (Mima/Mudfog, 2008) Her first collection Knowing the Dark is due out in 2011 with Indigo Dreams.
Mark Robinson – Collections of poetry include Half A Mind and The Horse Burning Park. He will be performing extracts from The Dunno Elegies. Mark lives in Eaglescliffe surrounded by stringed instruments. He used to be the Big Cheese at Arts Council England, North East but don’t hold that against him.
