1.30 – 3.30pm: Meet the Winners
of the 2011 Biscuit International Short Fiction and Poetry Prizes.
3.30 – 4.30pm: An Audience with Tom Kelly
Dramatist, lyricist, poet: “My Life and Rhymes”.
Tom takes you on a whistle-stop trip through his eclectic writing career.
4.30 – 7.00pm: Open Mic Café
A bounteous buffet of food and entertainment. A literary and gastronomic pot pourri of prose and poems, anchovies and anecdotes, extract of stories and chocolate-dipped strawberries. It’s all yours.
During this session we’ll hear from Colin Mulhern, author of Clash, a debut novel for young adults. Colin will tell you of the traumas and battles along the rocky road to getting published… and what happens when you get there.
Val McLane, professional actor and writer. Val’s book Xhosa Women’s Voices tells of Africa’s women and apartheid.
