Are you a performance poet? A Slam winner? If so this is your chance for fame and glory. If you have won a poetry slam since 1st Jan 2006 then you are eligible to take part in the Northern Region qualifying round of the BBC Radio 4 Slam. The top two slammers will go forward to the semi-finals in Manchester at the end of September.

Last year Newcastle was represented at the finals in Bristol by Kate Fox who as a result of her appearance went on to greater glory with a regular spot on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live and “You and Yours”.
