13 Voices
’13 Voices’ was a film produced from creative writing and filmmaking workshops with young people who are at risk of becoming homeless and was commissioned through Places for People, South Tyneside. The workshop sessions were led by Poet and Playwright Tom Kelly and Filmmaker Andrew Hagan.
The young people were encouraged to share their stories of how they became residents within the Places for People refuge. These stories were used to produce the film which will be shown across the region in schools and colleges to highlight the problem of becoming homeless, and was used as an information tool to inform people to where they can get help if they ever find themselves in similar circumstances.
